- ★ PERSONALITY:

One could say that Angelina is the true embodiment of red, the hue after which she bears her nickname. Her physical appearance is the most clear indication of how she came to earn it, with her dazzling ruby eyes, deep crimson locks, and the vibrant shades of scarlet she adorns herself with; however, one would quickly learn that she may very well be the personification of that lively color in spirit, as well.

She is known for her flamboyant nature, always the life of the party. She shamelessly flirts with the most dashing young men, fears not about voicing her opinions, and rivals the very essence of such festivities with her mischievously playful (and perverse) humor. Highly intelligent and successful, she further sets herself apart from the Victorian woman stereotype by her daring attire and bold cosmetic appearance - of which includes a short hairstyle, that she cut herself.

Of course, that alone is what society sees. Beneath this superficial layer lies a woman fueled by love, anger, and vengeance; passion in its most literal sense.

Pain was ever present in her life, first sparked by a disdain for her genetics - the red hair and eyes that had been born with. She thought herself to be socially inept and not the slightest bit attractive, and thus incapable of marriage. It was because of such reasoning that she hid her face behind a veil of long bangs, and devoted most of her time to study; she desired to become a doctor in hopes that she could one day cure her sister's asthma, as her sibling was the most precious person to her.

It wasn't until she met a man, Vincent Phantomhive, that a flicker of confidence had been instilled within her. His kind words allowed her to blossom into a positive young woman, driving her to take pride in the color she once hated so. Through this, she came to love him, her newfound enrapture coloring her life with innocent hope - but that was taken from her, unknowingly, by her only sister whom she loved so dearly, once Vincent and Rachel engaged. And she grew to take disgust in red once again.

The events that followed added a heaviness to her soul that she attempted to file away beneath a boisterous front; the loss of her husband and unborn child had devastated her greatly - and following the fire at the Phantomhive estate, everything that she has once treasured was stripped away. The losses left her bitter, unhinged; she was left alone, while her sister had everything she herself had dreamed for, even in death. Rachel had married the man that she loved so, gave birth to his child, and even laid beside him in death. Angelina's darling sister had everything that was meant to be hers. Always, she wonders why that had to be.

Ann carried on with her life, but hatred consumed her at last when faced with women that unappreciatively disregarded the love and life that she herself could never hope to have. She aborted the children of the prostitutes that came to her, but with taking their child, she vowed to rob them of everything they had - their womb, their happiness, and their life. She became a killer; covered her hands in blood, devoting herself to painting the dark streets of London in the color which she loathed so very much. She became Jack the Ripper.

Grell's appearance merely allowed her to embrace the malevolence within her, through a deep understanding within the unorthodox relationship that they formed. She'd found someone with whom she can share her most sinful secrets, and rather than fear her or push her away, he encourages her ways - assists her.

Though, there is hope for Angelina yet. She still carries compassion within her, a motherly softness. She cares very deeply for her nephew, and treats the boy as her own. Upon his sudden return, she vowed to herself that she wouldn't allow anything else to be taken away from her, and so she attempts to care for him as she may. Her maternal nature tends to extend to the wellbeing of most children, and to those she truly cares for, as she tends to have a level head when addressing their needs.

Most will find themselves faced with the charming and coquettish nature that Madam Red is so very well known for, and to those fortunate enough to win her affections, the more genuine and delicate disposition of Angelina Dalles; however, Jack the Ripper shall forever smolder within her conscious, awaiting the chance to seek the hapless souls that should happen to strike a nerve.

- ★ COURT ALLIANCE:

Madam Red would be best suited for the Unseelie Court. She comes from a time from which women with red hair are considered to be too brash and thus undesirable ; where medicine is considered an occupation meant to be practiced by men alone ; a time in which a lady should be modest, soft-spoken, and to adhere to the standards set by society. Despite embodying everything that she is not meant to be, she was able to not only become successful, but be revered for her eccentricity. Pushing against the grain is simply what she is meant to do. (Of course, there is also the matter of secretly being Jack the Ripper, the infamous serial killer.)

However, she may pose as a member of the Seelie Court, to protect her reputation for the sake of potential employment, but mainly to set a proper example for her niece and nephew.

- ★ ABILITIES:

Canonly, she does not possess any superhuman abilities; however, she is skilled in the art of medicine, with seven years' practice as a licensed doctor at the Royal London Hospital under her belt. Her knowledge is limited to that which existed in and preceded the year 1888 - though one must keep in mind that Kuroshitsuji is set within an alternate universe in which video games, television sitcoms, chainsaws, etc. existed in the Victorian era. Technology is more advanced than we would expect, though nothing near what modern medicine provides us.

Additionally, she has some skill with a knife, as well as in-depth knowledge pertaining to vital points. Her strength is not impeccable, but she seems to be more be more agile than one might expect.

- ★ INVENTORY:

She will arrive wearing her party attire, with a knife concealed beneath her skirts.
